The season for selling fresh chillies has finished. It will start again in August 2012.

We only sell our own chillies – that is chilles that we have grown ourselves on Sea Spring Farm overlooking the English Channel in West Dorset. This means our chillies are only available when they are in season.

 

We send chillies out at both stages of ripeness, i.e. green and red/yellow. Anyone wanting their chillies at a particular stage should state so when they order. We are a British company and send orders out to Britain and EU countries only.

Items for sale

In 2011 we sold five different varieties of chillies. All are habanero chillies, and they range from virtually heatless to world record breaking heat levels. The packs contain six or more chillies. In addition there is a "pot luck" pack that could contain anything.

• Apricot. Cost: £2.00. Very very fragrant; thick fleshed (for a habanero) and delicious. Sweet/very little heat (700 SHU).
• Trinity. Cost: £2.00. Medium heat level (40,000 SHU). Ideal for someone who likes the habanero flavour but cannot take the heat normally associated with habaneros. Cost £2.00, and contains a minimum of six chillies
• Jamaican Jerk. Cost: £2.00. Hot (128,000 SHU), flavourful, big and yellow.
• Orange Habanero. Cost: £2.00. Very hot (250,000 SHU), smooth and orange.
• Dorset Naga: Cost: £2.00. One of the hottest chillies in the world, but with a powerful flavour that transcends the heat (850,000 - 1,0323,000 SHU).
• Mixed bag. Cost: £3.50. A pot luck assortment of chillies (different heat levels, colours, shapes and flavours). These chillies come from our variety trials and breeding programme, and many may not even have a name. No bag will be the same.

In addition we sold :

• Poblano chilies. Cost: 80p each.

6 packs or more: £3.50

Orders can be made two ways:

1. By internet: Send an email with your order and delivery address to: joy@peppersbypost.biz; please give the email title as "Pepper by Post order/[your name]".

To make the payment go to the paypal website. If you have a paypal account login with your username and password, then select "Send Money". If you wish to pay by debit/credit card, don't login, just select "Send Money" and paypal will allow you to make a card payment. Make the payment to "joy@peppersbypost.biz". Under comments please put: "Pepper by Post order/ [your name]".

Orders from other EU countries are accepted. The orders will be sent out in boxes by airmail, but do be aware that we have no control of the time they take to be delivered – it sometimes takes a couple of days other times a week or more. In addition, we have been frustrated by how often orders simply do not arrive, and we can no longer take responsibilty for these lost orders. Maximum order for non UK orders is five packs; postage is £2.25.

How to get a printed copy of the catalogue for ordering fresh chillies:

• Download the catalogue: Do this by clicking on the green button below. It will arrive in your computer as a pdf file. Most computers will have the software to read this.
