Seed Availibility
Dorset Naga (Capsicum chinense), measuring around 1,000,000 Scoville Heat Units, is one of the hottest chillies ever measured. Its scorching heat is combined with a distinctive fruity aroma, making it the variety of choice for gardeners wanting a new experience.
The wedge-shaped fruit start out green and turn red, and can be harvested at either stage. They can be up to 2 to 3 cm wide at the shoulders and 4 to 5 cm long, and are produced on large, late maturing plants that need plenty of space to grow.
Seed of Dorset Naga is now available.
Seed packs cost £6 each, and contains a minimum of 20 seeds. Germination rate: 87% (official laboratory test). See www.reallycoolseeds.co.uk for more information.
Please beware that this is the only legimate source of Dorset Naga seed.
The variety 'Dorset Naga' was developed at Peppers by Post through a selection process over several years from an original and very variable population of naga morich, a Bangladeshi landrace chilli.
Really Cool Seeds is Peppers by Post's sister company, and is the only company entitled to sell Dorset Naga.
There is no other legimate source of Dorset Naga. Seed sold elsewhere may be of dubious quality, and certainly did not come from the crop grown in isolation specifically for seed production at Peppers by Post.
